Critique Session

Service Description

This is an opportunity to have your bonsai critiqued by Shawn in a group setting, hearing the thoughts, ideas and discussions of fellow students. Each student will have the chance to talk about their tree(s) in front of the group, explaining their vision of both short and long-term plans, and any questions they may have or decisions they need help with in regards to that tree. This critique session aims to help bonsai owners with making small or large decisions and guiding them to create better trees. Sometimes only slight adjustments to a tree can improve it immensely, or perhaps a hard cut back is needed to reset the tree to create better structure long-term. Group feedback in a session like this is a great way to have your tree seen in a perspective by others, which can be highly beneficial in any artform. Bring along your bonsai (maximum 2 trees per person), and receive feedback and suggestions about ways you could improve your specific tree in this 2 hour session. Maximum of 6 participants. This session is suitable for all skill levels.
